Wrap Technologies Selected to Support Florida Teacher Safety Training Program

Wrap Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: WRAP) has been selected by WOFT Charities to provide training support for the WOFT Teacher Safety Training Program, which received a $475,000 appropriation in Florida's fiscal year 2026-27 state budget. This selection underscores the increasing emphasis on preparedness and non-lethal intervention strategies in school environments, a trend that could have broader implications for public safety training nationwide.

The training program will focus on situational awareness, threat recognition, early intervention, de-escalation, and avoiding physical confrontation when possible. It will provide practical safety and preparedness training for teachers, administrators, and other school personnel, including real-world scenarios and practical self-defense instruction. The $475,000 appropriation was made to WOFT, with WRAP receiving a portion based on services provided, and should not be interpreted as a direct $475,000 award or future revenue to WRAP.

WRAP will also have exclusive access to WOFT's training facility, which is being developed as a national flagship environment for integrated WRAP training. The company believes the model could expand beyond education into law enforcement, private security, military, and other professional safety environments, as well as private citizens. Eventually, the model could incorporate a digital training ecosystem supporting continuous learning, recurring proficiency, and certification.

This partnership highlights the growing role of non-lethal tools and training in addressing complex public safety challenges. WRAP's portfolio includes the BolaWrap 150, a non-lethal restraint device designed to create time and distance during critical incidents. The device uses a multi-sensory distraction and a tethered restraint to help officers manage non-compliant subjects before resorting to higher-force options. Used by over 1,000 agencies across the U.S. and in 60 countries, the BolaWrap is backed by training certified by the International Association of Directors of Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADLEST).

In addition to the BolaWrap, WRAP offers WrapReality, an immersive training simulator for decision-making under stress, and WrapVision, a body-worn camera system with cloud integration and a made-in-America roadmap. These technologies are part of WRAP's mission to provide safer, scalable, and cost-effective solutions for public safety, defense, and critical infrastructure markets.

The selection by WOFT Charities and the state appropriation signal a potential shift toward integrating non-lethal safety training in educational settings, which could set a precedent for other states. As school safety remains a top priority, programs like this may become more common, offering teachers and staff practical tools to de-escalate threats without physical confrontation. For WRAP, this partnership represents an opportunity to expand its training ecosystem beyond law enforcement and into civilian applications, potentially opening new revenue streams and reinforcing its position as a leader in non-lethal public safety technologies.
