Viromed Medical AG, a medical technology company specializing in cold plasma technology, announced today that it has entered into new distribution partnerships for its ViroCAP® product in Spain, Portugal, Greece, the Balkan region, Romania, and Saudi Arabia. These agreements, each with a separate company per market, significantly broaden the company's international footprint and are expected to generate additional sales of at least 3,000 devices per year, based on agreed minimum purchase quantities.
ViroCAP® is a mobile medical device designed for treating skin conditions using cold atmospheric plasma, targeting hospitals, private practice physicians, and surgically active specialists. The device has been a cornerstone of Viromed's product portfolio, and the new partnerships underscore the growing demand for this innovative technology in diverse healthcare settings.
Uwe Perbandt, Chief Executive Officer of Viromed Medical AG, commented: "With these new distribution partners, we are opening up several attractive markets in Southern and South-Eastern Europe as well as in the Middle East. The strong interest shown by our distribution partners underlines the high demand for our cold plasma technology. The new distribution partnerships are another important step in the implementation of our dynamic growth phase. Partnerships for additional countries are in preparation and are expected to be signed within the next four to six weeks."
This expansion builds on Viromed's existing network, which includes an exclusive distribution agreement with South Korea's UMECO covering ten Asian countries and a partnership with TriPart TITAN GmbH & Co. KG for the Turkish market. These moves are part of Viromed's strategy to solidify its position as a leader in cold plasma medical applications globally.
The significance of these agreements lies in Viromed's ability to penetrate new geographic regions, leveraging local expertise to navigate regulatory and market entry barriers. The minimum purchase commitments provide a predictable revenue stream, enhancing the company's financial outlook and supporting its growth trajectory. Moreover, the timing of these partnerships, with more expected within the coming weeks, signals a momentum that could reshape the competitive landscape for cold plasma therapies in Europe and the Middle East.
Viromed Medical AG, listed on the stock exchange since October 2022, operates through its wholly owned subsidiary Viromed Medical GmbH, focusing on the distribution of cold plasma technology. With a broad customer base in the DACH region and beyond, the company aims to further advance the medical use of cold plasma and realize its growth potential. The new distribution partnerships are a testament to that commitment, positioning Viromed for sustained international growth and innovation in medical technology.
