VetosEurope Wins Four Prestigious Awards for Sustainable Cattle Farming Innovations

VetosEurope, an agritech company headquartered in Lugano, Switzerland, has been honored with four prestigious awards from World Business Outlook magazine, recognizing its pioneering work in sustainable cattle farming. The accolades include Best AgriTech Innovation & Climate Impact Innovation Award Europe 2026, Most Sustainable Agriculture Solution of the Year Europe 2026, Best Scientific Research & Development Excellence Award Europe 2026, and Outstanding Sustainable Livestock Farming Solution Europe 2026.

These awards highlight VetosEurope's commitment to addressing the dual challenges of profitability and environmental responsibility in agriculture. At the core of its innovation is Anavrin, a methane-inhibiting feed supplement that has been scientifically validated to significantly reduce methane emissions from cattle while enhancing productivity. Methane is a potent greenhouse gas, 28 times more impactful than CO₂, and a major byproduct of ruminant digestion. By targeting this issue, VetosEurope aims to contribute to global climate targets.

Independent trials conducted by Universidad de la República in Montevideo, Uruguay, and Wageningen University and Research in the Netherlands have confirmed Anavrin's efficacy. The Uruguayan studies demonstrated methane reductions of up to 17.5%, while Wageningen's controlled chamber trials reported a 13% cut in methane production and a 16.3% decrease in methane intensity. Importantly, these reductions were achieved without compromising milk yield, and the additive also improved overall sustainability. The UK-based Carbon Trust has formally validated Anavrin's effectiveness, adding international credibility to the product.

Beyond its environmental benefits, Anavrin boosts cattle performance, increasing meat yield by 70 grams per day and milk output by 1.5 liters per day. This dual benefit—climate impact plus productivity—is VetosEurope's competitive edge, offering farmers a practical tool to reduce emissions while improving their operations.

VetosEurope's approach is built on three pillars: scientific credibility, global distribution, and a farmer-centric philosophy. The company partners with universities worldwide to develop natural feed additives that mirror natural compounds, ensuring products are both effective and easy to integrate into existing feed systems. Its supplements are marketed across Europe, Latin America, and Asia, and have been used by approximately 2.5 million cattle over the past 11 years, backed by more than 20 scientific research projects.

The company's work aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly those addressing climate action and responsible consumption. In Italy, VetosEurope is developing a methane reduction project targeting enteric fermentation emissions, which will be certified under the Verra Verified Carbon Standard (VCS). The project, structured as a grouped initiative, aims to involve beef and dairy farmers in adopting innovative feeding practices, contributing to climate change mitigation, and potentially earning financial returns from verified emission reductions. Similar projects are being developed in Uruguay and Spain.

Carloalberto Ghizzoni, Partner & CEO of VetosEurope, expressed gratitude for the recognition, stating, "Winning these four prestigious accolades from World Business Outlook is a profound milestone that validates VetosEurope's commitment to reshaping global agriculture. Securing the Best AgriTech & Climate Impact Innovation alongside the Most Sustainable Agriculture Solution awards highlights our team's relentless pursuit of technologies that heal the planet. Furthermore, the R&D Excellence and Sustainable Livestock Farming honours prove that science-backed, data-driven methodology can successfully drive ecological resilience."

Shankar Shivaprasad, Managing Director of World Business Outlook, praised VetosEurope's achievements, noting, "VetosEurope stood out during our rigorous evaluation process as a rare pioneer capable of bridging the gap between rigorous scientific research and scalable, practical climate impact. They won these four specific awards because their solutions seamlessly address critical modern agricultural pain points—reducing livestock emissions, enhancing soil health, and pioneering AgriTech frameworks that actively combat climate change."

For policymakers, Anavrin represents a tangible solution to meet emission reduction targets, while for farmers, it offers a way to future-proof their operations against tightening environmental regulations. As methane reduction becomes a regulatory and market priority, VetosEurope is well-positioned to benefit from the global push toward climate-smart agriculture, with its scientific credibility and niche expertise providing a strong foundation for growth.
