Venture X®, a global provider of high-quality, flexible workspaces, announced today that multi-unit franchise owners Kevin and Geidre Priddy of Priddy Spaces have acquired four existing flexible workspaces in the Dallas-Fort Worth market and are converting them to Venture X. This acquisition underscores the increasing significance of flexible workspace in the evolving landscape of hybrid work and corporate real estate strategy.
The husband-and-wife team acquired the four locations from Plano-based landlord Michael Comegys, who sought to partner with experienced flex workspace operators to help the spaces thrive. Formerly branded as CityCentral, the spaces are currently being converted to Venture X and will offer the brand's signature amenities and hospitality-centric member experience. The Priddys began developing their coworking portfolio with the acquisition of Venture X in West Palm Beach, Florida in 2022 and have since grown it to seven total Venture X and one Office Evolution® open and operating, with several more in active development.
“When we were approached about converting these four spaces in Dallas-Fort Worth, we were very interested. We’ve been operating in Florida going on four years, and we’ve wanted to expand into other high-growth markets like this one. The locations themselves are within strong demographics, and we felt confident that we would add value as flex workspace operators where this is our core business,” said Kevin Priddy. “With the evolution of hybrid work and corporate real estate strategy in recent years, flex office space is a true asset to commercial landlords. Venture X as a brand already has a presence in DFW and we’re excited to bring more solutions to the businesses and professionals that work here.”
The four locations being converted are: Venture X Downtown Fort Worth at 600 W. 6th St., Suite 400, Fort Worth, TX 76102 (22,530 square feet, 74 offices); Venture X Plano West at 6010 W. Spring Creek, Plano, TX 75024 (36,000 square feet, 103 offices); Venture X Plano East at 500 N. Central Expressway, Suite 500, Plano, TX 75074 (26,592 square feet, 92 offices); and Venture X Dallas-Addison at 17250 Dallas Parkway, Dallas, TX 75248 (approximately 40,000 square feet, 78 offices). Two of the locations are already open and operating as Venture X, while the other two are actively being converted.
With the addition of these four spaces, Venture X now has over a dozen locations in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Venture X, along with sister brands Office Evolution and Intelligent Office®, is a part of Vast Coworking Group™ (Vast), the largest privately owned franchisor of coworking spaces and second-largest network in North America by number of locations. Vast has over 200 locations globally, spanning 2.7 million square feet.
Vast President Jason Anderson added, “Kevin and Geidre are outstanding franchise owners who consistently exemplify what it means to operate at a high level within our system. Their disciplined growth, operational excellence, and ability to identify strong opportunities in key markets like Dallas-Fort Worth speak volumes about their leadership. This continued expansion is not only a testament to their success as operators, but also to the strength and scalability of the Venture X brand.”
In addition to Dallas-Fort Worth, the Priddys are actively developing other Venture X and Office Evolution locations in South and Central Florida and Metro Atlanta. This acquisition highlights the trend of specialized operators taking over flex spaces from landlords, reflecting the growing demand for managed coworking solutions.
