Upside Gold Historic Compilation Reveals Extensive Mineralization Potential at Kena Property

Upside Gold Corp. (CSE: UG) (FSE: 47I) (OTCQB: UGODF) has released results from a comprehensive compilation of historic exploration data at its 10,115-hectare Kena Gold-Copper Property in southeastern British Columbia. The work has significantly improved understanding of the mineralized system, revealing a trend that extends at least seven kilometers along strike and remains open in multiple directions and at depth.

The compilation integrated decades of geological, geophysical, and geochemical data, including a review of historical analog documentation and fieldwork from 2025. This effort updated the digital 3D exploration model for the property. The property hosts a historic mineral resource estimate of 2.77 million inferred ounces of gold at an average grade of 0.486 g/t Au and 0.561 million indicated ounces at an average grade of 0.544 g/t Au, based on a 2021 technical report by Moose Mountain Technical Services. However, the company notes that a qualified person has not done sufficient work to classify the historical estimate as current mineral resources.

During the compilation, the drillhole database was enhanced by adding copper and silver results from multi-element analyses, which had been largely overlooked in previous records. The database now includes copper values up to 71,800 ppm, with over 2,900 samples exceeding 500 ppm Cu, and silver values up to 145 ppm, with over 2,650 samples exceeding 1 ppm Ag. These results occur within a drillhole database containing 6,300 samples grading greater than 0.25 g/t Au. The addition of copper and silver data is expected to demonstrate potential for significant additional value within the project.

Geophysical surveys, including induced polarization (IP), have identified zones of high chargeability and low resistivity that support the definition of disseminated pyrite-hosted mineralization along the four-kilometer Kena lode gold body and for at least an additional three kilometers to the southeast. Sporadic historic drilling in these areas has returned wide intervals of both lode and porphyry-style gold and copper mineralization, including 117 meters of 0.22% Cu and 0.14 g/t Au, and 90 meters of 0.9 g/t Au.

The integration of geological, geophysical, and geochemical data supports the conclusion that mineralization is structurally controlled by the Kena Deformation Zone, a major steeply dipping fault zone. This structure can be traced for at least 11 kilometers along strike. The presence of favorable signatures to the northeast and southeast suggests major surface to near-surface Cu-Au porphyry bodies that require detailed diamond drilling.

Dr. Trevor Boyd, Vice President of Exploration, stated, "This compilation work has significantly improved our understanding of the Kena mineralized system. Integrating decades of exploration data into a modern 3D model is helping us identify areas where mineralization may extend beyond the historic resource and focus our 2026 drilling on the most promising expansion targets."

The 2026 drill program will focus on testing along strike to the southeast within the Kena Copper Zone, with the goal of defining a second major mineralized zone on the property. Additionally, the southern half of the property, which has never undergone diamond drilling, holds potential for new discoveries. The Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia has been largely overlooked for gold and copper exploration, offering opportunities for development of historic prospects.
