Trailbreaker Resources Ltd. (TBK.V) has announced the mobilization of its drill to the Swan Zone at the company's 100%-owned Atsutla Gold Project in northwestern British Columbia, following the completion of its maiden drill program at the Highlands Zone. The Swan Zone represents a copper-gold-silver porphyry target, distinct from the high-grade vein-hosted gold, silver, and copper showings at the Highlands Zone, which is located 26 kilometers away and hosted in different geological units.
The Swan Zone is hosted in the Cretaceous Glundebery batholith and has been developed over the past five years from a new discovery into a compelling target through systematic exploration. Detailed geological mapping, soil geochemical surveys, induced polarization (IP) and airborne magnetic surveying have defined a 1.5 km by 1.5 km multi-element soil geochemical anomaly, with rock grab samples grading up to 11.7 g/t gold, 212 g/t silver, and 0.81% copper. This anomaly coincides with a 2.1 km by 1.4 km donut-shaped chargeability high from a 2024 IP survey and a zone of elevated potassium marked by a magnetic low from 2024 airborne surveys. Despite limited historic drilling in the adjacent valley, the Swan Zone itself has never been drilled.
The diamond drill program will target surface geochemical and geophysical anomalies, testing an estimated strike length of 1,000 meters to a vertical depth exceeding 400 meters. The company anticipates this program will improve understanding of mineralization controls and the deposit model, supporting future drill campaigns. Meanwhile, the completed Highlands Zone program comprised four holes totaling 883.40 meters, testing a strike length of 500 meters and vertical extent of 412 meters, as detailed in the June 29, 2026 news release.
Trailbreaker also plans to drill several copper-gold porphyry targets at the Coho property, located 30 km northwest of the Mt. Milligan mine in central BC, in September 2026, as outlined in the May 25, 2026 news release. The Atsutla Gold Project encompasses five significant zones of gold mineralization across 26 kilometers, including the Highlands, Christmas Creek, Snook, Willie Jack, and Swan zones, all associated with Mesozoic batholithic intrusions along the regional Teslin-Thibert fault system.
