Tonix Pharmaceuticals Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: TNXP) reported second-quarter 2026 net product revenue of approximately $13.5 million, a substantial increase from $2 million in the year-ago period, driven largely by $11 million in net sales of TONMYA, its recently approved treatment for fibromyalgia. The company recorded 12,592 total prescriptions for TONMYA during the quarter, a 100% sequential increase, with new patient prescriptions up 36% and refills rising 207%. This commercial momentum underscores the market's acceptance of the first new fibromyalgia treatment in over 15 years.
The company's revenue growth is supported by expanding market access. TONMYA currently has coverage representing approximately 136 million lives across commercial, managed Medicare, and Medicaid channels. Coverage is expected to reach about 145 million lives when a managed Medicare agreement takes effect on Jan. 1, 2027. This broadening reimbursement landscape is critical for sustained uptake and revenue growth.
Beyond commercial success, Tonix continues to advance its clinical pipeline. The company has enrolled the first patient in the potentially pivotal Phase 2 HORIZON study of TNX-102 SL for major depressive disorder (MDD). TNX-102 SL is the same sublingual cyclobenzaprine formulation as TONMYA but is being evaluated at a different dose for MDD. Additionally, Tonix is preparing to begin an adaptive Phase 2 field study of TNX-4800 for Lyme disease prevention in the first quarter of 2027, pending final FDA review and agreement on the protocol. TNX-4800 is a monoclonal antibody designed to provide prophylaxis against Lyme disease.
Tonix ended the quarter with approximately $176.2 million in cash and cash equivalents. Management stated that these resources, together with third-quarter equity proceeds to date, are expected to fund planned operations and capital expenditures into early second-quarter 2027. This financial runway provides the company with the flexibility to execute its commercial and clinical strategies.
The company's pipeline also includes TNX-2900, which is Phase 2 ready for Prader-Willi syndrome, a rare disease, and TNX-1500, a third-generation CD40 ligand inhibitor for the prevention of kidney transplant rejection. These programs highlight Tonix's focus on addressing high unmet medical needs in central nervous system (CNS) and immunology.
The strong Q2 performance is a testament to Tonix's ability to commercialize TONMYA effectively while simultaneously advancing its pipeline. The positive reception of TONMYA in the market, coupled with the potential of TNX-102 SL in MDD and TNX-4800 in Lyme disease prevention, positions the company for sustained growth. Investors should note that product development candidates are investigational and have not been approved for any indication.
