Tonix Pharmaceuticals Promotes Thomas Englese to Chief Commercial Officer Amid TONMYA Launch

Tonix Pharmaceuticals Holding Corp. (NASDAQ: TNXP), a fully integrated, commercial-stage biopharmaceutical company, has announced the promotion of Thomas Englese to chief commercial officer, effective immediately. Englese, who previously served as executive vice president of commercial operations since September 2024, will continue to oversee sales, marketing, market access, and commercial operations for TONMYA, the company's treatment for fibromyalgia in adults, as well as Zembrace SymTouch and Tosymra for acute migraine in adults.

The promotion comes at a pivotal time for Tonix as it works to expand the launch of TONMYA, which was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and represents the first new treatment for fibromyalgia in more than 15 years. President and CEO Seth Lederman highlighted Englese's instrumental role in building Tonix's commercial organization and launching TONMYA. Englese expressed the company's focus on expanding access, growing its patient and prescriber base, and increasing sales as it broadens the TONMYA launch.

This strategic move signals Tonix's commitment to maximizing the commercial potential of its flagship product while continuing to advance its pipeline in central nervous system (CNS) and immunology treatments. The company's CNS portfolio includes TNX-2900, which is Phase 2 ready for the treatment of Prader-Willi syndrome, a rare disease. Additionally, Tonix is evaluating TONMYA in Phase 2 clinical trials for major depressive disorder and acute stress disorder, potentially expanding its indications.

In the immunology space, Tonix is developing TNX-4800, a monoclonal antibody for Lyme disease prophylaxis, and TNX-1500, a third-generation CD40 ligand inhibitor for the prevention of kidney transplant rejection. These pipeline assets highlight the company's broader research efforts beyond its commercial products.

The leadership change is expected to strengthen Tonix's commercial execution as it navigates the competitive landscape for fibromyalgia and migraine treatments. With Englese at the helm of commercial operations, the company is poised to build on its early momentum and drive growth in the coming quarters.
