Toblerone today announced a collaboration with Swarovski to create the Toblerone Crystal Bar, a limited series of hand-made crystal replicas of the original chocolate bar. Dubbed "The Ultimate Gift," the initiative combines luxury craftsmanship with philanthropy, as all proceeds from auctions will be donated to charities in participating airports worldwide.
The Toblerone Crystal Bar crafted by Swarovski is an individually numbered, certified piece that reimagines the familiar triangular silhouette in crystal. Each bar weighs 851g, measures 305mm in length, and features 546 individually cut facets. The production process required 140 hours of development and 65 hours of handcrafting per piece, utilizing high-precision cutting technology to achieve brilliance.
From July 1 to July 31, 2026, travelers at nine iconic airports—Athens, Delhi, Doha, Dubai, Frankfurt, Madrid, New York JFK, Singapore, and Zurich—can encounter pop-up experiences and bid in person on the crystal bar. Each auction supports a charity partner chosen by the respective airport. Bidding is also available online globally, with 100% of winning bids directed to the designated charities.
Iain Livingston, President of Toblerone & World Travel Retail, stated: "Toblerone has always been more than a chocolate bar. It's a ritual, a symbol of travel, and one of the world's most recognised gifts. Creating the Toblerone Crystal Bar crafted by Swarovski feels like a natural expression of who we are: a brand that takes quality seriously but never takes itself too seriously."
For those who prefer an immediate purchase, Toblerone is also launching a limited-edition Ultimate Gift Box adorned with Swarovski crystals, available exclusively in World Travel Retail during the campaign. The box contains a Milk Toblerone bar, blending crystal embellishment with the classic chocolate inside.
The collaboration highlights shared values between the two Swiss-based brands. Toblerone, invented in 1908 in Bern, has become a travel staple known for its triangular shape. Swarovski, founded in 1895 in Austria, is renowned for crystal craftsmanship. Both emphasize quality and enduring design.
