The Capital Grille Waikiki Debuts Limited-Time Wine and Wagyu Burger Pairing

The Capital Grille Waikiki has announced a limited-time Wine & Wagyu Pairing experience available from February 23 through June 28 in its bar and lounge area. Priced at $50 per pairing, the offering combines premium Wagyu burgers with select wines from the Dave Phinney portfolio, including Orin Swift and Acolytes labels. Located at 2380 Kuhio Ave. in Honolulu, the restaurant aims to deliver elevated flavors in a refined island setting.

The pairing menu features three Wagyu burger options, each accompanied by sea salt fries. The Grille's Wagyu Cheeseburger with grilled onions, steak sauce, and Vermont white cheddar is suggested with Orin Swift Advice from John, a Merlot. The Wagyu Blue Cheese & Black Truffle Burger, topped with cabernet-braised red onions, pairs with Orin Swift Palermo, a Cabernet Sauvignon. For the Wagyu Mushroom & Swiss Burger, featuring sautéed shiitake and cremini mushrooms, Jarlsberg cheese, and truffle aioli, guests can choose between Orin Swift 8 Years in the Desert, a Zinfandel blend, or Acolytes by OLG, a Pinot Noir. Additionally, a Chips & Caviar option is available for $20, substituting fries with caramelized onion and caviar dip and housemade chips.

The wine selections, each priced at $30 by the glass, include Orin Swift Palermo with notes of blackberry, black currant, dark chocolate, and espresso; Orin Swift 8 Years in the Desert with black plum, boysenberry, ripe cherry, and toasty vanilla; Orin Swift Advice from John with dark fruits, licorice, espresso beans, and soft tannins; and Acolytes by OLG offering ripe cherry, strawberry, sandalwood, baking spices, and white pepper.

This exclusive pairing underscores The Capital Grille's reputation for dry-aged steaks and a world-class wine program, blending classic steakhouse sophistication with inventive culinary experiences. For more details, guests can visit the restaurant's website at www.thecapitalgrillehawaii.com.
