SS Innovations to Host SMRSC 2026 in New Delhi, Showcasing Next-Generation Robotic Surgery Technologies

SS Innovations International, Inc. (Nasdaq: SSII) announced today that it will host the Global Multi-Specialty Robotic Surgery Conference (SMRSC 2026) in New Delhi, India, from April 9-11, 2026. The third installment of this conference is expected to surpass last year's attendance of over 1,400 in-person and 600 virtual participants from 17 countries, uniting surgeons, innovators, and healthcare leaders to shape the future of robotic and minimally invasive surgery.

A key highlight will be more than 20 live telesurgeries using the SSi Mantra surgical robotic system, spanning multiple specialties. These demonstrations will explore critical aspects of telesurgery, including connectivity, latency management, cybersecurity, and clinical protocols. Among the procedures, several will utilize the SSi MantrAsana Tele Surgeon Console, a compact, chair-based version of the surgeon command center that enables portability and telesurgery from settings like physician offices.

One of the most anticipated innovations is the SSi Vimana Aero Drone System, a drone-deployed trauma surgery system currently under development. Designed to bring expert robotic surgical care to wounded soldiers in active battle zones, the SSi Vimana Aero lands near casualties and deploys two miniature robotic arms with seven degrees of freedom. A trauma surgeon remotely operates the system using 5mm instruments to address hemorrhaging, wound repair, chest decompression, shrapnel extraction, and field suturing, helping stabilize patients until evacuation. This technology could bridge critical time gaps between injury and medical evacuation from frontlines.

Another featured display is Project Operion, an interactive window into the future of surgical robotics, touching on enhanced access beyond hospital walls, mobile high-tech surgical infrastructure, and telesurgery integration for long-distance healthcare. The MantraM Mobile Robotic Telesurgery Unit, a bus designed to bring specialized surgical care and training to underserved locations, will also be on display.

The conference will include multispecialty sessions covering urology, thoracic, gastroenterology, head & neck, gynecology, colorectal, general, and pediatric surgery, with separate cardiac-focused breakout sessions. Distinguished guests include Dr. Fred Moll, recognized as the "Father of Robotic Surgery" and Vice-Chairman of SS Innovations; Sri Madhusudan Sai, a global humanitarian; Dr. Naresh Treahan, Managing Director of Medanta; Dr. Mylswamy Annadurai, former Director of ISRO Satellite Center; and Dr. Ashutosh Tewari, Chairman of Urology at Mount Sinai.

Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, Chairman and CEO of SS Innovations, stated, "We are thrilled to host SMRSC 2026 this week in New Delhi, where global experts in surgical robotic care will convene to discuss innovation and the future of our field. From live telesurgeries and robotic surgeries to demonstrations of exciting new technologies, this year's event will be our largest and will continue to elevate the theme of decentralizing and democratizing access to surgical robotic care."
