Scarefest Scream Park, a family-owned 50-acre Halloween park in Lenox Township, Michigan, is celebrating its 20th anniversary season. Founded in 2006, the park has become a cornerstone of Michigan's autumn landscape, employing hundreds of local residents and supporting local charities. This milestone season features a signature blend of fear and fun, including four main attractions, nightly stage entertainment, Halloween movies, roaming ghouls, photo ops, bonfires, and a heated bar tent. A virtual queue system allows guests to wait in line with their phones.
The park's four main attractions offer a range of experiences. The Castle of the Dead is an 8,000-square-foot haunted house where guests face terrors lurking beyond the doors. The Hayride of Doom is a family-friendly, narrated ride following a researcher and his AI assistant as they navigate the aftermath of a viral outbreak. The Forest of Darkness is a haunted walk along the Salt River, through woods alongside specters of death. The Terror Zone Maze is a thrilling dark maze packed with twists, strobes, 3D effects, and terror at every dead end.
Before the official October season, Scarefest is hosting two special event weekends for adults 21+. On September 18 and 19, Ghouls Night Out offers a twist on "girls night out" with a Sip & Shop local artisan vendor show, wine tastings, mixology demonstrations, crafts, and Zumba. On September 25 and 26, BBQ, Bourbon & Boos features a live band, local bourbon and whiskey tastings, and barbecue food selections.
Located at 34111 28 Mile Rd, Lenox Township, MI, Scarefest Scream Park is the premier Halloween destination in Metro Detroit. It has been named "Best Haunted Attraction" multiple times by Vote4TheBest. For more information, visit Scarefest Scream Park's website.
