Safe Pro Group Inc. (NASDAQ: SPAI) announced it has been invited to train and equip soldiers with its patented SPOTD Edge AI battlefield threat detection system during a U.S. Army Force-on-Force combat training exercise scheduled for the second quarter of 2026. The exercise, one of the Army's most realistic combat training environments, will allow Safe Pro to demonstrate rapid AI-powered explosive threat identification and enhanced battlefield mapping capabilities in simulated live combat conditions.
The company plans to showcase its NODE-X tactical edge intelligence platform, a ruggedized, backpack-sized system designed to analyze drone imagery in the field without internet or cloud connectivity. Powered by Safe Pro's patented SPOTD technology and trained on a dataset of more than 2.75 million drone images, the platform can detect more than 150 types of explosive threats while providing 3D terrain mapping, orthomosaic generation and automated route planning to support battlefield decision-making.
This selection highlights the growing importance of AI-driven solutions in modern warfare, where rapid threat detection can significantly reduce casualties and improve mission effectiveness. Safe Pro's technology addresses a critical need for real-time situational awareness without reliance on external networks, which can be compromised in contested environments. The exercise will provide valuable feedback for refining the system for future military deployments.
