Rubean AG, a Munich-based fintech company, announced today that its SoftPOS payment acceptance software is now active on over 150,000 terminals, nearly double the approximately 80,000 terminals reported in early July 2025. This milestone underscores the company's rapid growth and supports its recently published revenue and earnings forecast.
At the annual shareholders' meeting earlier this month, the Executive Board forecasted consolidated revenue for 2026 to reach between €5.0 million and €6.0 million, up from €3.71 million in the previous year. Recurring revenue is expected to more than double in 2026. Co-CEO Jochen Pielage stated, "The significant increase in user numbers underscores our recently published forecast regarding the Rubean Group’s revenue and earnings performance." Co-CEO Stephan Kuck added, "Thanks to the continued significant growth in the use of our SoftPOS app, we will reach monthly breakeven in 2027 and close the entire year with a positive net income for the first time."
Rubean's technology replaces traditional card readers with a software app, allowing merchants to accept payments directly on their smartphones without additional hardware. This software-only point-of-sale (SoftPOS) solution is already a market leader in Germany and Spain, serving small and large retailers, the food service industry, delivery services, and other commercial enterprises. The app supports cashless and mobile payments, including the girocard (EC card) in Germany, making it the only SoftPOS solution with that capability.
Rubean AG is listed on m:access and various over-the-counter trading venues, including XETRA. For more information, visit www.rubean.com.
