Puerto Rico Financial Services Forum Returns as Premier Caribbean Gathering for Banking and Insurance Leaders

The Puerto Rico Financial Services Forum has opened registration for its sixth edition, set to take place November 2-3, 2026, at the Sheraton Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan. The event has become one of the Caribbean's leading gatherings for international banking and insurance, drawing senior executives, regulators, institutional investors, insurers, international banks, compliance leaders, legal experts, and government officials from Puerto Rico, the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

The 2026 program will expand its international reach with high-level discussions on evolving challenges and opportunities. Key topics include artificial intelligence in insurance and financial crime compliance, fintech and Banking-as-a-Service, correspondent banking, captive insurance, AML and sanctions, digital assets, regulatory priorities, and investment strategies. The agenda is designed to address the pressing issues shaping the future of financial services in the region.

Featured speakers include Mónica Rodríguez, Commissioner of Financial Institutions; Suzette del Valle, Commissioner of Insurance of Puerto Rico; Angelo Colombo of AIG; David White of Morgan White Group; Jeff Radke of Accelerant; Zahira Rodríguez Gonzalvo of Popular; Scott Kosnoff of Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP; Osho Jha of Arbol Inc.; Christina Kindstedt of Advantage Insurance Management; Oscar Angarita of Kredit Plus; Rubén Gely of IICG; Antonio Ramírez of McConnell Valdés; Alberto Pagan of Certus Income; and Gregory Cobb of SAGE. Additional leaders from banking, fintech, regulatory, and compliance sectors include Stephanie L. The program will also address digital assets and financial crime with speakers including James Lee of Chainalysis, Roderick Schwarz of CSMB, Dustin Palmer of Anchorage Digital Bank, Dennis Lormel of DML Associates, and Sonia Torres of DLA Piper.

Ignacio Gomez, an award-winning investigative journalist known for exposing corruption and financial crime, will deliver the keynote address. His insights are expected to provide a compelling perspective on the importance of transparency and compliance in the financial industry.

Organizers emphasize the Forum's role as more than a conference. “More than a conference, the Puerto Rico Financial Services Forum has established itself as a high-level networking destination where decision-makers and influential leaders connect, exchange ideas, and explore new opportunities for collaboration and growth,” said Hugo Cordova, President of the Puerto Rico International Insurers Association (PRIIA). Eduardo Colón, President of the Puerto Rico International Banks Association (PRIBA), added, “The Puerto Rico Financial Services Forum continues to strengthen Puerto Rico’s position as a hub for international banks and insurers, while creating a platform for dialogue around innovation, regulation, and the future of the financial industry.”

The event also provides sponsors and participating organizations with direct access to a highly specialized audience, offering opportunities for brand visibility and strategic engagement. Organizers encourage financial institutions, insurance companies, law firms, accounting firms, technology providers, and related organizations to secure participation early, as additional speakers and sessions will be announced in the coming weeks.
