The PNE Group has emerged successful in the latest onshore wind tender in France, securing the rights to develop the "Oinville-Saint-Liphard" wind farm in the Centre-Val de Loire region. The project, comprising four wind turbines with a total capacity of 22 megawatts (MW), was one of 39 projects awarded in the eleventh tender under the PPE2 programme, out of 144 bids representing an aggregate capacity of 2.38 gigawatts (GW). This achievement highlights the company's strong position in a highly competitive environment and reaffirms the importance of France as a core market for the PNE Group.
Roland Stanze, Chief Operating Officer of PNE AG, expressed satisfaction with the outcome, stating, 'We are very pleased that we were able to prevail in a highly competitive tender. This once again demonstrates the excellent work being done by our French team on the ground.' The win follows closely on the heels of the sale of the 'Romescamps' wind farm, marking another success for the company within days in one of its most important core markets.
The announcement comes after a nearly one-year pause in tenders following the July 2025 round, in which PNE France had already secured the 'Chery' and 'Romescamps' projects. The French government relaunched the tender process in early April 2026, shortly after publishing the multiannual energy plan PPE3. The timing proved advantageous for PNE, as the 'Oinville-Saint-Liphard' wind farm received its approval in May, just in time to be submitted for this tender. Notably, the approval process was completed in only 15 months, reflecting efficient regulatory handling.
This success reinforces the PNE Group's strategy as a Clean Energy Solutions Provider, with a focus on developing wind energy and photovoltaic projects worldwide, as well as power generation from its own wind farms. The company, listed on the SDAX, has over 30 years of experience in onshore wind farm project development, covering all phases from site investigation to repowering.
