Operation Bangladesh, an initiative founded by philanthropist Morad Shaker, has officially announced a historic expansion into a new global phase, transitioning from a regional humanitarian effort into a structured international platform. The expansion, which spans Asia, Africa, the Americas, and the Pacific region, marks a strategic milestone in Shaker's long-term vision of building a coordinated global system for humanitarian engagement and sustainable development.
The initiative, originally focused on supporting underprivileged populations in Bangladesh with a target of approximately 5 million beneficiaries, has now expanded its allocation structure to include multiple countries across several continents. As of the current phase, approximately 4.2 million allocation units have been structured across participating regions, with continued development expected as the initiative advances. Shaker emphasized that the name Operation Bangladesh is intentionally retained to honor the birthplace and pilot phase of the broader vision.
Operation Bangladesh operates under Shaker International Scholarship Programs (SISP), a nonprofit registered in Wyoming (Entity ID: 2025-001826158). The expansion establishes structured participation frameworks designed to encourage coordinated engagement among communities, institutional partners, and participating countries. Key components include multi-country humanitarian coordination, structured allocation systems, cross-regional development frameworks, and long-term institutional sustainability.
According to Morad Shaker, this transition represents a defining milestone in the evolution of Operation Bangladesh and reflects a long-term commitment to building an internationally connected humanitarian ecosystem. He stated, "I believe Operation Bangladesh is my lifelong vision to turn structure into protection for future generations, building a global humanitarian system rooted in my experience, science, and purpose." The initiative is now entering a new operational stage focused on structured engagement with international stakeholders, including institutional dialogue and country-level cooperation.
Digital engagement has grown significantly, with SISP maintaining an established online community of more than 470,000 followers, primarily in Bangladesh, and the official Operation Bangladesh platform surpassing 140,000 followers, reflecting expanding international awareness. Morad Shaker has been spending extended time across Asia, working behind the scenes on the continued development of Operation Bangladesh, meeting with international petitioners, collaborators, and supporters. His ongoing efforts underscore a long-term commitment to transforming the vision into a fully realized global system. The initiative's official website can be accessed at OperationBangladesh.org.
