North Atlantic Titanium Corp. (CSE: NATO) (OTCQB: NATQ.F) (FSE: Y33) has provided additional information regarding its application for a three-year drilling permit at the Everett Titanium-Vanadium-Phosphate project in Havre-Saint-Pierre, Quebec. The announcement follows a previous news release on July 14, 2026, and details the company's plans for a 25,000-meter drilling program focused on the northern portion of the Everett oxide body.
A key highlight is the mineralogical characterization of metallurgical samples by Corem (Consortium de recherche en traitement de mineral), which found that approximately 99% of oxide minerals in a composite sample consist of high-quality hemo-ilmenite with very low magnesium, manganese, and aluminum impurities. This composite sample, taken from 57 sites across the Everett oxide body, graded 37.0% Fe2O3, 17.4% TiO2, 0.18% V2O5, and 2.27% P2O5. The company notes that the Everett oxide body is not a direct analogue of the nearby Lac Tio Mine, but rather a broader Fe-Ti-V-P critical-minerals opportunity, including potential for phosphate coproduct from apatite and vanadium with scandium credits.
The company holds the 2,406-hectare Everett property under option from Romaine River Titanium Inc. Pending permit approvals, including a Permit for Forestry Activities (PAF) and a Permit for Work with Impact (ATI), the company will conduct drilling in success-contingent stages. Stage 1 comprises 6,000 meters of widely spaced drilling across sections 9N to 19N to delineate the oxide body limits and collect samples for assay and metallurgical analysis. Stage 2 involves approximately 19,000 meters of infill drilling to define a Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE). Stage 1 drilling is expected to commence upon ATI acceptance, with Stage 2 likely beginning in late winter 2026-27.
The drilling targets the mineralized unit, an oxide-apatite-gabbronorite (Unit 7), which spans over 6 km of strike length. The Corem analysis confirmed that the hemo-ilmenite and apatite comprise over 50% of the sample. The regional setting places the Everett project within the Grenville Province, hosting several major anorthosite-mangerite-charnockite-granite (AMCG) magmatic systems. The nearby Lac Tio deposit, operated by Rio Tinto, supplies approximately 19% of global titanium dioxide feedstock demand. However, the Everett mineralization is chemically distinct, with significantly lower magnesium, manganese, chromium, and aluminum impurities compared to Lac Tio.
CEO Dwayne Yaretz stated that the metallurgical results reinforce the company's strategy to advance a secure, domestic critical minerals processing supply chain in Canada, supporting defense readiness and reshoring of Western titanium metal production. The company's Stage 1 program will define the technical program and follow-up drilling for the next 18 to 24 months.
