Nordex Group Secures Over 197 MW Orders from ENOVA and BMR in Germany

The Nordex Group has secured new orders from German wind energy companies ENOVA and BMR energy solutions for the supply and installation of 30 wind turbines with a combined capacity exceeding 197 MW. Announced at the end of June 2026, the projects are located in Lower Saxony, Schleswig-Holstein, and North Rhine-Westphalia. All contracts include long-term Premium Service agreements spanning 20 years, underscoring the commitment to operational reliability.

In Boldecker Land, Lower Saxony, ENOVA is progressing a 68 MW repowering project featuring ten Nordex N163/6.X turbines. Installation is slated to begin in the fourth quarter of 2027, with commissioning expected in early 2028. Repowering replaces older turbines with modern, more efficient models, boosting electricity production and site utilization. This trend is critical for Germany's energy transition, as it maximizes output from existing wind farm locations without requiring new land.

Another project in Schleswig-Holstein will see Nordex supply ENOVA with six N149/5.X turbines, totaling 34.2 MW. Construction is scheduled to start in early 2028, with commissioning by mid-2028. The combination of turbine types demonstrates Nordex's flexible product portfolio tailored to different site conditions and grid requirements.

Two projects in North Rhine-Westphalia, Nettetal and Breberen, were originally developed by BMR energy solutions. For Nettetal, which BMR sold to ENOVA, Nordex will deliver five N163/6.X turbines, with construction beginning in October 2027 and commissioning in early 2028. The Breberen project is a collaboration between ENOVA and BMR, replacing existing turbines with nine N163/6.X units in a repowering effort. Installation starts in October 2027, with commissioning in the second quarter of 2028. These partnerships highlight the synergistic approach among developers and technology providers to accelerate project timelines.

Karsten Bruggemann, Vice President Region Europe of the Nordex Group, emphasized the strengthened relationships: “We have built a long-standing and trusting relationship with BMR, which we have successfully developed further through numerous projects. We are therefore all the more pleased to now also implement more joint projects with ENOVA again and to further expand our business relationship.” Hendrik Böschen, Chief Operations Officer of ENOVA, noted, “These projects mark the next milestone in the development of our wind farm portfolio. Together with Nordex and BMR energy solutions, we are bringing demanding projects into implementation in a cooperative, efficient and fast manner.”

The orders reflect the robust demand for onshore wind power in Germany, driven by ambitious renewable energy targets. ENOVA, one of Germany’s largest onshore wind farm operators with 1 GW in its portfolio, aims to expand to 3 GW by 2030. BMR energy solutions, based in Geilenkirchen, brings extensive regional development expertise. Nordex, with over 64 GW installed globally since 1985, continues to play a pivotal role in supplying advanced turbine technology and long-term service. The 20-year Premium Service agreements ensure sustained performance and grid integration.

These developments are significant for Germany’s energy landscape, as repowering and new installations are essential to meet climate goals. The projects will contribute to decarbonizing the power sector, enhancing energy security, and creating economic value in rural areas. The collaboration between ENOVA, BMR, and Nordex sets a precedent for efficient project execution in a market that requires both scale and innovation.
