The Save a Leg, Save a Life Foundation (SALSAL) has announced a new partnership with New Horizon Medical Solutions (NHMS) to expand community-based prevention and education efforts aimed at reducing the more than 150,000 preventable amputations that occur annually in the United States. The collaboration will debut at an upcoming SALSAL screening event, where NHMS will introduce the exclusive KENT SNAPSHOT device, a technology designed to enhance early detection and treatment of chronic wounds, a leading cause of limb loss.
NHMS’s sponsorship includes not only the provision of advanced technology but also volunteer clinical engagement from its Medical Director, Dr. Tharesh Udupa, who will offer consultations and educate students and medical residents participating in the initiative. This dual focus on technology and training aims to strengthen the next generation of clinicians on the front lines of limb preservation.
