Nevada Organic Phosphate Eyes Expanded Drilling After Positive Results at Murdock Mountain

Nevada Organic Phosphate Inc. (CSE: NOP) (OTCQB: NOPFF) is moving forward with plans for an expanded drilling program and continued permitting after initial drilling at its Murdock Mountain phosphate project in northeast Nevada returned positive results. The company, which focuses on direct-application organic phosphate fertilizer, reported that a six-hole drilling program confirmed consistent phosphate mineralization averaging 10.93% P2O5, including a higher-grade interval of approximately 17.5% P2O5 over 4 meters.

Management believes the phosphate-bearing strike system could extend more than 26 kilometers across additional federal lease application areas, and the company has outlined a large exploration target while continuing to advance permitting with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. The Murdock Mountain project is situated close to the main highway to Montello/Elko, Nevada, and near the rail head to California, offering logistical advantages for future development.

The company is pursuing a differentiated strategy focused on organic sedimentary rock phosphate that can be mined, ground, and applied to fields without chemical processing. This approach potentially reduces capital costs and avoids many environmental issues associated with conventional phosphate production, which typically involves processing with sulfuric acid to create soluble fertilizers. The direct-application method is gaining traction in organic and regenerative agriculture markets, where farmers seek natural soil amendments.

With phosphate recently added to the U.S. critical minerals list, the company plans an expanded 2026 drilling campaign as it works to position itself as a domestic supplier for these growing markets. The critical minerals designation could provide access to federal support and streamline permitting processes, enhancing the project's strategic importance for domestic supply chain security.

NOP is a junior exploration company with an organic sedimentary raw rock phosphate bed, 6.6 kilometers long, in northeast Nevada. Additional applications extend the potential strike of rock phosphate to over 30 kilometers. This is believed to be the only known large-scale organic sedimentary phosphate project in North America.
