Netherton Syndrome Awareness Campaign Surpasses 2 Million Video Views, Highlighting Rare Disease Day 2026

In recognition of Rare Disease Day 2026, Quoin Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (NASDAQ: QNRX) announced that its NETHERTON NOW awareness campaign has achieved nearly 2 million video views and more than 24 million impressions globally since its launch in February 2025. The campaign aims to amplify the voices of patients, caregivers, and clinicians impacted by Netherton Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder caused by mutations in the SPINK5 gene that leads to excessive skin shedding, chronic inflammation, and life-threatening complications, particularly in infancy.

Rare Disease Day, established in 2008 by EURORDIS, is observed annually on the last day of February to raise awareness about rare conditions that collectively affect hundreds of millions worldwide. Denise Carter, Co-Founder and COO of Quoin Pharmaceuticals, noted that the campaign's response has surpassed expectations, providing a platform for individuals who previously suffered in silence to share their stories and connect with the broader medical and advocacy communities.

To mark Rare Disease Day, NETHERTON NOW released a new video titled "If There Was a Cure," featuring patients and families reflecting on the daily realities of living with Netherton Syndrome and their hopes for improved treatments. The video is available at https://youtu.be/AIcGZQEumF0?si=5d226QrYKR3m-hHC.

Dr. Michael Myers, CEO of Quoin Pharmaceuticals, emphasized that growing awareness must be accompanied by action, including advancing rigorous clinical research and pursuing regulatory pathways. Quoin's lead investigational candidate, QRX003, is currently in late-stage pivotal clinical trials for Netherton Syndrome. The company remains committed to addressing the significant unmet medical needs of patients and families affected by this devastating disease.
