MAX Power Mining Named Finalist for Three Awards at 2026 Canadian Hydrogen Convention, Highlighting Leadership in Natural Hydrogen Exploration

MAX Power Mining (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) has been named a finalist for three awards at the 2026 Canadian Hydrogen Convention, scheduled for April 21–23 in Edmonton. The company is a finalist for the Hydrogen Project Award and the Digital Innovation Award, while CEO Ran Narayanasamy is nominated for the Emerging Hydrogen Leader Award. Narayanasamy will also moderate the convention’s first panel discussion on natural hydrogen exploration in Canada on April 22, reinforcing MAX Power’s leadership in advancing its Saskatchewan Natural Hydrogen Project.

The recognition comes as MAX Power continues to build a dominant position in the natural hydrogen sector, holding approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits in Saskatchewan, with an additional 5.7 million acres under application. The company drilled Canada’s first-ever well specifically targeting natural hydrogen at the Lawson target on the Genesis Trend, confirming a working subsurface system. This pioneering effort positions MAX Power at the forefront of a rapidly growing industry that could play a key role in the global shift to decarbonization.

The awards and panel participation highlight the significance of MAX Power’s work in natural hydrogen exploration, a sector that has garnered increasing attention as a potential clean energy source. The Canadian Hydrogen Convention is a key industry event, and being named a finalist in multiple categories underscores the company’s innovative approach and the importance of its Saskatchewan project. The panel moderated by Narayanasamy will bring together experts to discuss the potential and challenges of natural hydrogen exploration in Canada, further establishing MAX Power as a thought leader in the space.

In addition to its hydrogen activities, MAX Power holds a portfolio of critical mineral properties in the United States and Canada, including the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in Arizona, where a 2024 diamond drilling discovery was made by its U.S. subsidiary Homeland Critical Minerals Corp. This diversified approach to critical minerals and energy positions the company to capitalize on multiple fronts in the transition to a low-carbon economy.
