MAX Power Mining Expands Saskatchewan Natural Hydrogen Permit Holdings to Approximately 2 Million Acres

MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) announced the acquisition of provincial permits covering an additional 660,263 acres (2,672 square kilometers) across south-central Saskatchewan, increasing its total permitted holdings by more than 50% to approximately 2 million acres across 12 projects. The expansion includes the newly named 628-square-kilometer Aurora Project adjoining Lawson, creating a contiguous 90-kilometer corridor with potential for multiple natural hydrogen discoveries and commercialization pathways near highway, rail, heavy industry and emerging artificial intelligence infrastructure.

The company also added the Ogema and Kyle projects, expanded the Grasslands Project through the Fox Valley target area and secured additional permits at Lawson, Radville and Tribune. Commercial-validation drilling continues at Lawson Complex #1, Canada’s first confirmed subsurface natural hydrogen system, while the company and independent consultant GLJ Ltd. complete reviews of data from the newly permitted areas.

MAX Power is an innovative mineral and energy exploration company focused on the shift to decarbonization. The company’s Lawson Discovery near Central Butte, Saskatchewan, represents Canada’s first-ever subsurface natural hydrogen system confirmed through deep drilling with data validated by three independent labs. MAX Power has built dominant district-scale land positions across Saskatchewan with approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits covering prime exploration ground prospective for large-volume accumulations of natural hydrogen, as noted in the press release.

MAX Power also holds a portfolio of properties in the United States and Canada focused on critical minerals, highlighted by a 2024 diamond drilling discovery at the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona, 100%-owned by MAX Power’s U.S. subsidiary. The company is committed to responsible exploration and development practices that prioritize environmental stewardship, meaningful community engagement, and strong corporate governance.

This expansion underscores the growing interest in natural hydrogen as a clean energy source. By securing a dominant land position in Saskatchewan, MAX Power is positioning itself to potentially supply hydrogen for heavy industry, transportation, and power generation, including emerging AI data centers. The proximity of the Aurora Project to existing infrastructure enhances its commercial viability.
