MAX Power Mining Closes C$20.5 Million Private Placement Led by Eric Sprott to Advance Natural Hydrogen Discovery

MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX; OTC: MAXXF; FRANKFURT: 89N) announced the closing of its previously announced private placement, raising approximately C$20.5 million in gross proceeds through the sale of 15,805,624 units at C$1.30 per unit. The placement was led by renowned investor Eric Sprott, with Hampton Securities Limited acting as lead agent and sole bookrunner. The company plans to use the proceeds to advance its Lawson Natural Hydrogen discovery in Saskatchewan, including analytical testing, resource modeling, seismic acquisition, and additional drilling, alongside general corporate purposes.

The Lawson discovery near Central Butte, Saskatchewan, represents Canada's first-ever subsurface natural hydrogen system confirmed through deep drilling, with data validated by three independent labs. This scalable natural hydrogen opportunity is central to MAX Power's strategy, as the company holds a dominant district-scale land position across Saskatchewan with approximately 1.3 million acres (521,000 hectares) of permits and an additional 5.7 million acres under application. Natural hydrogen, often called “white hydrogen,” is generated naturally through geological processes and is considered a potential low-carbon energy source.

MAX Power is an innovative mineral and energy exploration company focused on decarbonization. Beyond its natural hydrogen assets, the company also holds a portfolio of critical mineral properties in the United States and Canada, highlighted by a 2024 diamond drilling discovery at the Willcox Playa Lithium Project in southeast Arizona, 100%-owned by its U.S. subsidiary. The company is committed to responsible exploration and development practices that prioritize environmental stewardship, meaningful community engagement, and strong corporate governance.

The successful capital raise, particularly with Eric Sprott's involvement, underscores growing investor interest in natural hydrogen as a potential clean energy source. With the funds, MAX Power aims to accelerate exploration and development activities across its extensive land position, positioning itself at the forefront of Canada's emerging natural hydrogen industry.
