Kaufman & Company, a permanent capital holding company led by Daniel Kaufman, has officially launched its unified platform, bringing together ten operating companies and seven venture portfolio companies under one cohesive structure. The debut of its new website, thekaufmanco.com, marks the completion of a year-long effort to integrate residential development, workforce housing, AI infrastructure, and venture capital into a single, synergistic entity.
Daniel Kaufman, Founder and Principal of Kaufman & Company, emphasized the strategic importance of this consolidation. "Our 2026 launch slate marks the full convergence of real estate and technology," he said. "We’ve spent the last year bringing every company we’ve built or backed under one platform so they can share capital, data, and execution discipline instead of operating in silos. This is the structure the work has been building toward." The integration aims to foster collaboration and efficiency across previously independent entities.
The platform’s ten operating companies span a diverse range of real estate sectors. Convivium Living focuses on vertically integrated co-living communities, while DanReDev specializes in Dallas-based build-to-rent and workforce housing. DEK Builds creates custom mountain homes and resort communities, and Design Build Affordable addresses affordable housing in Florida. DK Homes develops new communities in Maine, New Hampshire, and Florida, while Forge Development Partners focuses on urban rental housing in Philadelphia. Kaufman Development leads AI infrastructure and mixed-use projects, having delivered over 2,500 residential units and created more than $1 billion in value. Kaufman Real Estate & Consulting provides advisory services, and LoneStar Kaufman handles commercial and hospitality projects. Kaufman Ventures serves as the venture capital arm, investing in technology that supports the real estate industry.
Collectively, Kaufman & Company reports over $2 billion in project value delivered, more than 10,000 housing units developed, and over 25 years of industry experience. This scale positions the platform as a significant player in the real estate and technology intersection.
The launch also formally introduces Kaufman Ventures and its portfolio of seven companies, including BridgeStar, an AI-powered partner portal; Meridian, a portfolio intelligence tool; LandBriefing, a national land intelligence platform; SpreadSight, data analytics for real estate investment; FoundCheck, diligence tooling; and ServerDomes, AI data center development. These companies are designed to serve Kaufman’s own operations first, then expand to the broader industry. The platform maintains a close relationship with Oldivai, an independent workforce housing partner, though it is not one of the ten operating companies.
The consolidation involved integrating financial reporting, shared services, and go-to-market strategies while preserving each company’s operational identity. The new website also features a public-facing partner portal at BridgeStar.ai, providing stakeholders with direct access to deal information. Additionally, sections for Media & Press and U.S. Real Estate Journal highlight the company’s growing media presence.
This strategic move is significant as it demonstrates how real estate firms can leverage technology and shared resources to enhance efficiency and innovation. By uniting diverse companies under one platform, Kaufman & Company aims to streamline capital deployment, standardize underwriting practices, and accelerate the adoption of AI and data tools across its operations. This model could serve as a blueprint for other industry players seeking to integrate technology with traditional real estate development.
