JoySauce TV Launches on Roku, Expanding Reach to Over 100 Million Households

JoySauce TV, the streaming network dedicated to American Asian stories and Asian pop culture, has officially launched on Roku Channel, a move that significantly expands its reach to over 100 million households across North America. This launch makes JoySauce the first AAPI-focused channel on Roku and follows recent debuts on Amazon Prime Video and Plex, solidifying its position as the most widely distributed TV network for AAPI content.

The expansion comes at a time when Asian and Asian American culture is enjoying unprecedented influence in mainstream entertainment. JoySauce, founded in 2020 by tech entrepreneur Jonathan Sposato, was created to fill a longstanding gap in media representation. The network offers a diverse library of original and acquired content, including scripted comedy, feature films, reality programming, documentaries, music, stand-up comedy, and community conversations.

Key programming highlights include "JoySauce Late Night," the first-ever AAPI late-night talk show; "Jokes with JoySauce," an all-AAPI standup comedy series currently in Emmy consideration; "Team Tan," following professional Chinese American race car driver Samantha Tan; and "Asian Cinema Showcase," featuring acclaimed films from across Asia. The network also offers live cultural moments, streaming award shows and concerts, as well as anime, tokusatsu, and game shows.

The Roku launch is a strategic move to meet audiences where they increasingly consume content—on connected TVs in the living room. According to Sposato, "Five years ago, JoySauce started with a simple belief: American Asians deserve a much bigger stage. Today, we're building that big stage." He emphasized that the network aims to be genuinely entertaining for everyone, fostering laughter and discovery among both AAPI and non-AAPI audiences.

Brandon Ferguson, COO and CFO of JoySauce, highlighted the long-term vision: "Building a lasting media company isn't just about distribution or audience growth. It's about creating the platform that allows creators, communities, and great stories to thrive for years to come." Narumi Inatsugu, Co-Founder and Chief Creative Officer, added that the next chapter is about ownership of stories and platforms, positioning JoySauce as a cultural engine.

The launch was made possible through partnerships with distribution partner Cineverse and Roku. JoySauce TV is available for free on Roku, Amazon Prime Video, Plex, YouTube, JoySauce.TV, and mobile apps. The network plans to announce additional programming and platform expansions throughout 2026, as it continues its mission to become the leading home for American Asian entertainment and culture.
