Interlock Roofing Ltd. has expanded its product line to include Metal Siding and wall cladding panels, bringing its lifetime aluminum system from the roofline down to exterior walls. The new panels, recently installed on custom homes in Whistler, British Columbia, are produced from the same heavy-gauge aluminum and finished with the Alunar Coating System as Interlock's roofing products. This allows a home's roof, chimneys, dormers, gables, and walls to share a single color-matched aluminum finish, addressing compatibility concerns between different manufacturers' products and simplifying installation and warranty coverage.
Interlock Metal Siding is offered in four architectural profiles—Slate, Cedar Shingle, Shake, and Standing Seam—which can be combined within one color family. The panels feature the Alunar Coating System, a multi-layer architectural coating with Cool Roof infrared-reflective pigments that reduce solar heat gain on walls. Non-combustible aluminum construction carries a Class A fire rating, a significant advantage for properties in wildfire-prone areas. The material resists moisture, preventing rot, warp, and cracking through freeze-thaw cycles, and the factory-baked finish resists chalking and fading, eliminating repainting over the product's service life. Additionally, the panels resist insects and coastal salt-air corrosion.
According to Scott Plumptree, Director of Marketing at Interlock Roofing Ltd., homeowners already trust Interlock's aluminum roofing for lifetime protection. Extending the same panel, coating, and color system to siding ensures the entire exterior performs to one standard and reads as intentional design. The four-way interlocking panels install over most existing wall substrates by certified installers and require no painting, sealing, or staining. The aluminum is largely recycled in content and approximately 95 percent recyclable at end of life.
Interlock Metal Siding and aluminum wall cladding are available across the United States and Canada through certified local installers for both new construction and re-cladding projects.
