On January 22, 2026, the Church of Scientology Dallas welcomed approximately 100 leaders and parishioners from diverse faith traditions for an evening of interfaith dialogue and learning. The event, co-sponsored with the national group Sharing Sacred Spaces, aimed to foster understanding and cooperation among religious communities in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
Guests toured the church's course rooms, where they learned about Scientology's practical tools for life, and explored how one-on-one spiritual counseling is conducted. They also learned about the humanitarian programs supported by the church and its founder, L. Ron Hubbard. The Church of Scientology Dallas, which opened its current building in April 2009, is committed to ongoing interfaith activities to address social issues that affect all communities.
Sharing Sacred Spaces was founded after the tragic events of 9/11 with the mission to 'overcome bias, misunderstanding and polarization through immersive education and training that makes vivid our common humanity.' The organization emphasizes that coming together as an interfaith community is essential for understanding. The evening highlighted that commonalities among faith communities become evident when working together, and that issues such as drug abuse and addiction, crime, poor education, and troubled homes are felt by everyone regardless of faith.
The Interfaith Alliance of Irving, of which the Church of Scientology Dallas is a member, held its monthly meeting at the same location and supported the event. For years, local Scientology representatives have collaborated with this group on community initiatives including food and clothing drives, Peace Day celebrations, and visits to member churches and places of worship.
