Hong Kong Tech Delegation Heads to MWC 2026 and 4YFN for Global Market Expansion

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), in collaboration with Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), will lead a delegation of 21 Hong Kong tech companies and institutions to showcase at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 and debut at 4 Years From Now (4YFN) 2026, taking place concurrently from 2-5 March in Barcelona, Spain. This dual presence underscores Hong Kong's ambition to strengthen its position as an international innovation and technology (I&T) hub by connecting its tech enterprises with global telecom leaders, enterprise decision-makers, industry partners, and investors.

Building on the momentum from MWC 2025, the Hong Kong Tech Pavilion will feature solutions beyond connectivity, covering areas such as Devices and Systems, Digital Transformation, and Ecosystem Partners. According to Iris Wong, Director of Merchandise Trade and Innovation at HKTDC, the pavilion provides an ideal platform for Hong Kong tech enterprises to present their latest R&D achievements at major international tech gatherings, supporting their journey to explore overseas markets while highlighting Hong Kong's strengths as an I&T hub. Derek Chim, Head of Startup Ecosystem and Development at HKSTP, emphasized that MWC serves as a global bellwether for communications technology, enabling tech companies at any stage to connect with the industry and investors, validate solutions, catalyze pilot projects, accelerate commercialization, and scale internationally.

Among the standout exhibitors, Shannon & Turing (Asmote), located at MWC Booth 6E44, specializes in mmWave technology for Integrated Sensing and Communication (ISAC), particularly for drone communications and control. This technology is pivotal as Hong Kong advances its low-altitude economy initiatives and efficiently manages industrial scenarios such as smart ports and dark factories. The company previously secured the world’s first 26GHz mmWave 5G commercial communications project, demonstrating leadership in industrial-grade applications. At 4YFN Booth 8.1B31, Cresento will showcase its AI-powered shin guard, designed to deliver real-time performance analytics and team leaderboards for football players. The company is transitioning from prototypes to pilot collaborations with European football clubs, academies, and sport tech platforms.

The delegation also includes a diverse range of tech entities, from connectivity and devices to digital transformation and ecosystem partners. A series of dialogues, networking receptions, themed talks, and pitching sessions will facilitate partnerships and investment opportunities for market-ready solutions with high potential for expansion. The full list of 21 exhibiting entities spans both MWC and 4YFN, including companies like Entoptica, FreightAmigo, and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

HKTDC and HKSTP continue to join forces to support Hong Kong tech enterprises in going global, building bridges that link tech companies with the world. This initiative expedites the industry’s internationalization progress, meeting the growing global demand for I&T, attracting talents, facilitating forward-looking investments, and realizing entrepreneurs' missions to reach out to the world. This strategic participation not only showcases Hong Kong's cutting-edge innovations but also consolidates its role as a global I&T hub, driving growth and creating business opportunities for SMEs in international markets.
