The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) returned to London Fashion Week with its Fashion Hong Kong runway show on February 19 at The Vinyl Factory in Soho, presenting the Autumn/Winter 2026 collections of four innovative local designers. The event, attended by over 300 international buyers, media, and fashion professionals, underscored Hong Kong's standing as a key fashion design hub in Asia and its designers' commitment to sustainability and innovation.
Designers Angus Tsui (ANGUS TSUI), Bettie Jiang (Bettie Haute Couture), Harrison Wong (HARRISON WONG), and Menu Tsai (selfFab.) showcased a diverse range of styles, from avant-garde futurism to zero-waste tailoring. The show drew support from notable figures such as model Eva Apio and singer CC Clarke, and attracted attention from leading media including BBC News, DAZED, Forbes, and Vogue Business.
Beyond the runway, the HKTDC organized a curated display of works from the designers, complemented by pieces from the "NEXT@Fashion InStyle" initiative, which highlights innovative materials from global suppliers. This initiative is part of Fashion InStyle, an annual trade platform held in Hong Kong each April. A professional designer showroom also operated in London from February 18 to 23, allowing buyers to engage directly with the brands and explore collaboration opportunities.
Since its launch in 2015, Fashion Hong Kong has taken designers to major fashion weeks in New York, London, and Tokyo. The return to London in 2026 reinforces the international potential of Hong Kong design. With over 50 offices globally, the HKTDC continues to support local brands in expanding overseas, promoting Hong Kong as a two-way global investment and business hub. The event not only elevated awareness of Hong Kong fashion but also strengthened exchanges between Hong Kong and UK industry players, solidifying the city's role in the global creative ecosystem.
