HKTDC to Host Seven Lifestyle and Licensing Mega Events, Highlighting Hong Kong's Role as Creative Hub

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) will host seven annual lifestyle and licensing mega events from April 27 to 30, 2026, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) and AsiaWorld-Expo. The events include the Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, Home InStyle, Fashion InStyle, Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair, DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong, Hong Kong International Licensing Show, and Asian Licensing Conference. These gatherings are expected to attract some 5,600 exhibitors from more than 30 countries and regions, including first-time participants from Finland, Germany, Iceland, the United Arab Emirates, and Uzbekistan.

The events aim to leverage Hong Kong's unique connectivity between the Chinese mainland and international markets, reinforcing the city's status as a regional creative hub and international business centre, while aligning with the national 15th Five-Year Plan and dual circulation development strategy. HKTDC Deputy Executive Director Jenny Koo stated that the fairs facilitate trade exchanges, fulfilling Hong Kong's roles as a super connector and super value-adder by showcasing new quality productive forces, product quality, and creativity.

This year, HKCEC Hall 5 has been transformed into a Reimagine themed floor, seamlessly connecting the Gifts & Premium Fair and Home InStyle to provide a one-stop overview of global lifestyle homeware and gifting trends. The floor features highlighted zones such as the Selection of ASEAN, The Bespoke Hub, and the Hong Kong Smart Design Global Awards. Home InStyle introduces the Gerontech and Innovative Material Pavilion, funded by the Innovation and Technology Commission, with over 20 local exhibitors presenting innovative materials and gerontechnology living products to address the growing silver market demand.

Fashion InStyle will spotlight materials innovation through its NEXT@Fashion InStyle zone, sponsored by the Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA). This year, the Philippines is the featured partner, with over 25 exhibitors showcasing local fashion materials. The zone includes exhibitors from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, Indonesia, Thailand, and Nordic countries like Iceland, Finland, and Sweden. Han Chong, founder of Self-Portrait, returns as project ambassador, leading six local designer brands in cross-disciplinary design projects that explore cultural heritage, sustainability, and technology.

The Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair and DeLuxe PrintPack Hong Kong will present trends in smart technology and green packaging, including RFID and anti-counterfeiting technologies, as well as plant-based and bio-based materials. Seminars will cover AI, sustainability, and creative design, with representatives from FUJIFILM and BW Design Centre discussing AI applications in printing.

The Hong Kong International Licensing Show, now in its 23rd edition, will feature over 600 brands and IPs, including Bandai Namco, Doraemon, and LINE FRIENDS. For the first time, a dedicated IP and e-Commerce Support Services Zone will bring together e-commerce platforms, KOLs, and marketing firms to help brands expand into online markets. The concurrent Asian Licensing Conference, themed "Connecting Creativity, Unlocking Licensing Power," will explore global licensing trends, the emotional economy, sports licensing, and VTubers.

The events will adopt the EXHIBITION+ hybrid format, using AI-powered Click2Match for business matching and Scan2Match for offline-online connectivity. An on-site AI SmartBot will help buyers search for products and generate personalized visit routes. These initiatives underscore the HKTDC's commitment to integrating online and offline experiences to boost sourcing efficiency.
