The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) is set to host five major exhibitions from 13 to 17 August at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, all under the theme "Live Well.Stay Well." The events, including the 36th Food Expo, 10th Beauty & Wellness Expo, and 12th Home Delights Expo, will operate alongside the 4th Food Expo PRO and 17th Hong Kong International Tea Fair, bringing together more than 1,850 exhibitors from over 30 countries and regions. This year's fairs mark a significant milestone as they feature, for the first time, exhibitors from all ASEAN member states, including debut participations from Brunei and Timor-Leste, as well as first-time exhibitors from Colombia and Greece.
The trade-focused events, Food Expo PRO and the Hong Kong International Tea Fair, will run from 13 to 15 August, with the Tea Fair open to both trade buyers and the public. The fairs aim to serve as a one-stop platform for sourcing, networking, and retail experiences, catering to industry professionals and the public alike. HKTDC Associate Executive Director Smilely Lam highlighted the growing market interest in wellness and quality living, stating that Hong Kong serves as an ideal gateway for food companies to access the Chinese Mainland and global markets. The Agricultural Trade Promotion Center of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China has organized delegations from multiple provinces to showcase premium agricultural products, leveraging Hong Kong as a platform for international expansion.
Food Expo PRO introduces a new "Meat Zone" and an expanded "Coffee Zone" to meet rising demand for premium meat and coffee products. The "Food Science and Technology Zone" will feature innovations like intelligent food-service robots and alternative future foods, with a Food Tech Symposium exploring technology's role in the food industry. For the first time, the expo will include pet food products, addressing Hong Kong's expanding pet-friendly market. Halal food offerings continue to grow, with over 130 exhibitors from various markets, and a networking reception on 14 August will facilitate business connections.
The Hong Kong International Tea Fair will showcase rare teas, including the first-flush Kunlu Mountain naturally mutated purple bud raw pu'er tea from Yunnan, white tea from Laos, and premium tea from Kenya. New pavilions include the Chinese Mainland Matcha Pavilion and the Yixing Zisha Teaware Pavilion. A new "Tea Lifestyle" zone will highlight innovative tea products like sparkling tea and tea-based cocktails, while the Hong Kong International Tea Culture Forum will discuss the internationalization of Chinese tea brands.
The public-focused fairs, including the Food Expo, Beauty & Wellness Expo, and Home Delights Expo, will feature five themed days covering food, wellness, sleep, and lifestyle. The Food Expo will showcase global gourmet delights, with a new Dessert and Gelato Theme featuring innovative ice cream flavors and low-fat gelato made with patented mushroom extract. The Beauty & Wellness Expo introduces the "Stay Relax" zone with red-light therapy capsules and medicated wellness balms, while the Home Delights Expo highlights quality sleep and smart living, with HKT offering exclusive discounts on smart home appliances.
The International Conference of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products, running from 13 to 15 August, will focus on clinical translation and regulatory policies, expanding from two to three days this year. The conference aims to foster international exchange and promote Hong Kong's Chinese medicine regulatory framework.
To celebrate HKTDC's 60th anniversary, special promotions include free admission before noon for visitors with promotional leaflets, "6"-themed offers from exhibitors, and daily lucky draws with prizes worth over HK$1 million. E-tickets are available through various platforms, and morning and evening admission tickets will return.
