(NASDAQ: GRML) has been granted a patent by Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada covering technology exclusively licensed by the company for Klotho-based gene therapies targeting cognition, memory and neurodegenerative diseases. The patent protects the use of the secreted Klotho RNA splice variant in genetic therapies and includes 42 claims covering its synthesis, delivery methods and potential application across multiple neurological disorders, including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and multiple sclerosis.
