Golden Cariboo Nears First Mineral Resource Estimate for Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine

Golden Cariboo Resources Ltd. (CSE:GCC) (OTC:GCCFF) is on the verge of a significant milestone as independent consultants finalize the company's inaugural Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) for its Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine Property in central British Columbia. The MRE will provide the first formal quantification of gold mineralization identified through the company's drilling, exploration, and geological modeling programs, including historical exploration data. Once completed, the estimate will be detailed in an independent NI 43-101 technical report, which the company anticipates releasing upon receipt.

The property, located approximately 4 kilometers (2.5 miles) northeast of Hixon, British Columbia, has been the focus of Golden Cariboo's efforts to rediscover the historic Cariboo Gold Rush. The MRE will consolidate data from the Halo, North Hixon, and Main zones, offering a comprehensive technical snapshot of the project's potential. Frank Callaghan, President and CEO, emphasized the importance of this work: "Every drill hole, every assay result and every geological breakthrough has expanded our understanding of the Halo, North Hixon and Main zones. We are now approaching the point where all of that work will be consolidated into a single independent resource model, providing the first comprehensive technical snapshot of the project and our first step towards the next phase of development."

The Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property is strategically positioned along a corridor adjacent to the Spanish and Eureka thrust faults, spanning 94,899 hectares (234,501 acres). The property is bordered by Osisko Gold Group and partly intertwined with their Cariboo Gold Project at the north end. Historically, over 101 placer gold creeks along the 90-kilometer (56 mile) trend have recorded production, with successful placer mining continuing today. The property includes the Quesnelle Quartz gold-silver deposit, discovered in 1865 and developed over a footprint of about 150m x 150m (less than 6 acres) at the Main zone straddling Hixon Creek.

The geological setting of the gold mineralization at the Quesnelle Gold Quartz Mine property shows strong similarities to the Spanish Mountain gold deposit, located 120 kilometers (75 miles) southeast along the same geological trend. Spanish Mountain is a sediment-hosted vein (SHV) deposit, considered an epizonal orogenic gold deposit, a category that includes some of the world's largest gold deposits, such as Muruntau in Uzbekistan and Bendigo in Australia. This comparison underscores the potential significance of the Quesnelle property.

The MRE's release will be a pivotal event for Golden Cariboo, providing stakeholders with a clear, independent assessment of the project's gold resources. This formal quantification is essential for attracting investment, guiding future exploration, and advancing the project toward development. Moreover, it positions Golden Cariboo within a region known for its rich gold production history and ongoing exploration activity, potentially catalyzing further interest in the area.
