Generation Uranium Inc. (TSXV: GEN, OTCQB: GENRF, FRA: W85) announced the filing of an independent technical report on its Yath Project, located in the Angilak Basin of Nunavut, Canada. The report, prepared in accordance with National Instrument 43-101, consolidates over five decades of exploration data and highlights multiple advanced targets along trend from the historical Lac 50 uranium deposit.
The Yath Project spans over 17,363.60 hectares in the Yathkyed and Angikuni sub-basins of the Thelon Basin, a region that has seen increasing activity from companies like ATHA Energy Corp, which raised $63 million this year for work on the adjacent Angikuni Project. Key targets on the Yath Project include the VGR trend, BOG Zone, Fog & IM-6, Embryo, Lucky Break, MP-25, and Boulder Lake.
Among the report's highlights are 13 historic drill holes with anomalous radiation readings, including RC11-BOG-001, which returned a spot reading of 6300 counts per second at 17.53 meters, with assays showing 0.37% Cu and 0.12% U3O8 between 16.8 and 18.3 meters. Clay alteration identified at the VGR target area is similar to alteration seen in Athabasca unconformity deposits, and historical boulder and outcrop sampling returned grades of up to 9% U3O8. New first derivative magnetic mapping has indicated structure parallel demagnetized zones related to historically defined targets.
Michael Collins, President, CEO, and Director of Generation Uranium, stated that the report provides a clear, investor-ready format showcasing the scale of opportunity at Yath. The company is applying modern geophysics, reprocessing legacy datasets, and refining targets as it moves into the spring exploration season.
The uranium market in 2026 continues to strengthen, with spot prices surpassing US$100/lb and long-term contract prices moving above spot. A report by Shaw and Partners in February 2026 forecasts a potential multi-year uranium price spike toward US$200/lb, citing tightening fuel contracting cycles, accelerating nuclear demand, and persistent supply shortfalls. Global nuclear capacity currently consumes about 180 million pounds of U3O8 annually, while mine production delivers only about 150 Mlb, creating a structural deficit that could exceed 200 Mlb per year in coming decades without new large-scale projects.
Generation Uranium has also granted incentive stock options to an officer to purchase 200,000 common shares at $0.075 for three years. The company is positioned to contribute to the future global supply of clean nuclear energy as demand rises from AI-powered data centers and nuclear generation expansion in China, India, and the United States.
