Focus Universal Achieves Key IoT Certification Milestone, Paving Way for Global Market Expansion

Focus Universal Inc. (Nasdaq: FCUV) has announced the successful certification of its Universal Smart Device and associated industrial sensors by accredited laboratories GRG Metrology & Test Group Co., Ltd. and Centre Testing International Group Co., Ltd. This milestone marks a significant step forward in the company's mission to simplify and accelerate IoT adoption worldwide.

The certified products include the universal smart device, pH sensor, total dissolved solids (TDS) sensor, oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) sensor, total dissolved oxygen sensor, and turbidity sensors. The certificates and reports issued by these laboratories hold international credibility, which will facilitate Focus Universal's entry into both local and global markets.

The Internet of Things (IoT) has long been heralded as a transformative technology, yet its widespread adoption has been hindered by high research and development costs, technical complexity, and lengthy development cycles. Focus Universal's Universal Smart IoT platform directly addresses these challenges. Instead of requiring engineers to build customized IoT systems from scratch, the platform serves as a common foundation, potentially eliminating up to 90% of the hardware and software development typically required.

Dr. Desheng Wang, CEO of Focus Universal, emphasized the importance of this certification, stating, "The completion of the certification process is therefore a significant step forward. It removes a key commercialization barrier and allows us to move from technology development toward broader domestic and international market deployment."

The market potential for IoT is immense. According to Statista, the number of IoT devices worldwide is expected to grow from 19.8 billion in 2025 to over 40.6 billion by 2034. Furthermore, the global IoT market, valued at USD 1.18 trillion in 2023, is projected to reach USD 2.65 trillion by 2030, reflecting a compound annual growth rate of 11.4%.

Despite this growth, many IoT projects fail. Cisco reports a 75% failure rate for IoT projects, and Microsoft found that 30% of projects fail at the proof-of-concept stage. Focus Universal's technology aims to overcome these obstacles by delivering up to 90% cost savings and simplifying IoT deployment, potentially accelerating adoption across the globe.

This certification not only validates the technical and commercial viability of Focus Universal's products but also positions the company to capitalize on the growing IoT market. By removing a major barrier to commercialization, Focus Universal is now poised to bring its solutions to the existing 19.8 billion IoT device users and beyond.
