Fitzroy Minerals Inc. (TSXV: FTZ, OTCQX: FTZFF, FSE: C3Y) has released results from 15 drill holes at the Tenorita area of its Buen Retiro Copper Project in Copiapo, Chile, highlighting wide zones of mineralization close to surface. The best intercept came from hole BRT-DDH072, which returned 111.9 metres at 0.97% copper from 21.1 metres depth, including 18.0 metres at 1.59% copper. Hole BRT-DDH070 yielded 147.7 metres at 0.41% copper from 26.3 metres, including 47.0 metres at 0.88% copper. These results confirm consistent shallow copper mineralization across approximately 300 metres east-west in the south-central part of Tenorita, as illustrated in cross-section A-A' (see Figure 2).
Drilling at Buen Retiro is ongoing with three diamond drill rigs and one reverse circulation rig, totaling 13,036 metres across 78 holes since February 2026. The company aims to complete drill-out of the Tenorita area by August, moving toward a Pre-Feasibility Study and its stated target of production in early 2028. The drilling program has three key objectives: advancing Tenorita to Measured, Indicated, and Inferred resource categories for a robust mine-life; defining Inferred resources elsewhere on the property; and testing new exploration targets.
Other notable intercepts from previously reported holes include BRT-DDH027 with 133 metres at 0.46% copper from 22 metres, and BRT-DDH058 with 75.0 metres at 0.82% copper from 9.0 metres, both previously reported here. The company employs strict quality assurance and quality control procedures, including certified copper standards and blanks, with samples analyzed by ALS-Patagonia laboratory in Copiapo. The Qualified Person, Dr. Scott Jobin-Bevans, has reviewed and approved the technical information.
