The Drug-Free World Foundation brought its drug-prevention education campaign to hundreds of attendees at a FIFA World Cup watch party at Amelia Mayberry Park in Los Angeles County on June 24, 2026. The event, held during the Czechia vs. Mexico match, featured the Drug-Free World Mobile Exhibit as part of the organization's FIFA World Cup campaign. Approximately 250 people engaged directly with the exhibit, while several toured the full display. Volunteers distributed thousands of copies of the organization's Truth About Drugs educational booklets to attendees.
The outreach generated strong interest from local community members and public service organizations. A local official expressed appreciation for having drug-prevention materials available and suggested working with the park organizer to provide boxes of booklets to a nearby teen center. The exhibit also connected with individuals whose personal experiences gave particular meaning to the message. One attendee, sober for 20 years after overcoming addiction, requested to record the exhibit to share with her family and discussed bringing materials to a school in her community.
The event organizer was so impressed with the resources that she took remaining boxes of booklets for community distribution and expressed enthusiasm about future collaboration. Community-service professionals also showed interest. A representative from a social services organization received an information kit and 200 booklets and expressed interest in arranging a Drug-Free World presentation. Another attendee, who provides medical services to unhoused individuals, requested 200 booklets after explaining she regularly encounters the effects of drug use and wanted educational materials to share.
Children at the watch party also engaged with the exhibit, signing the Drug-Free World pledge board to commit to a drug-free life. By the conclusion, Drug-Free World had distributed approximately 3,000 booklets, provided educational portfolios, and engaged hundreds through its prevention outreach.
This initiative underscores the importance of community-based drug prevention, particularly during large public gatherings. By meeting people where they are, the foundation effectively spreads awareness and builds partnerships that extend its reach. The event's success highlights the demand for factual drug education and the potential for collaborative efforts to foster healthier communities.
The Drug-Free World Foundation is dedicated to educating youth and adults about the truth regarding drugs so they can make informed decisions and live drug-free lives. Through educational materials, community outreach, presentations, and public-awareness campaigns, it works with individuals, families, schools, and organizations to promote prevention.
