Donna S. Jones and DSJ & Associates Apply Two Decades of Clinical Expertise to Legal Consulting

Donna S. Jones, founder of DSJ & Associates, has built a career bridging the gap between medicine and law. With nearly 20 years of experience, her firm provides legal nurse consulting, medical record review, and expert witness matching for attorneys across the United States, Canada, and England.

Jones's journey began on a farm in West Virginia, where she learned discipline and preparation from her parents. Her mother, who earned a degree while raising seven children, instilled a relentless work ethic. 'Preparation matters,' Jones says, a lesson she applies to every case.

After earning a nursing degree from Fairmont State University and a communication degree from Georgia State University, Jones worked as a bedside and ICU nurse in Atlanta for 45 years. This clinical experience taught her to spot patterns and red flags in medical records—skills she now uses to support litigation teams.

DSJ & Associates helps attorneys with medical record analysis, standard-of-care assessments, chronologies, and expert witness recommendations. The firm's rigorous vetting ensures each expert is credible and suited to the case. 'Attorneys don't need just a name. They need the right person,' Jones explains.

Cases range from routine injuries to wrongful death and homicide. Jones emphasizes the importance of uncovering the truth in medical records. 'Our job is to help attorneys see what's truly in the record,' she says.

Now retired from bedside nursing, Jones continues her work from Brunswick, Georgia. For more information on DSJ & Associates, visit their website.
