Delivery Hero Strengthens Supervisory Board with Private Equity Veteran John Woyton

Delivery Hero, the global local delivery platform, has appointed John Woyton to its Supervisory Board, effective September 9, 2026. Woyton succeeds Scott Ferguson, who stepped down to focus on other commitments. As an independent board member, Woyton will also take over Ferguson's seats on the Audit and Strategy Committees, positions critical to overseeing the company's financial health and long-term direction. The appointment, announced on September 10, 2026, underscores Delivery Hero's commitment to leveraging top-tier expertise as it navigates a dynamic market landscape.

Woyton brings over two decades of experience in private equity and mergers and acquisitions across technology, media, and telecommunications (TMT). He began his career as an investment banking analyst before joining The Carlyle Group. In 2008, he moved to Advent International, where he spent nearly 12 years as a Partner and leader of the TMT sector team, overseeing numerous investments, buyouts, and strategic transactions. From 2021 to 2024, he was a member of the Senior Leadership Team and Managing Director at H.I.G. Capital. In 2025, he co-founded Covalent Equity Partners, a technology-focused private equity firm supporting businesses in the AI era. A dual US and British national, Woyton's global perspective aligns with Delivery Hero's operations across approximately 65 countries.

Kristin Skogen Lund, Chair of the Supervisory Board, commented: "We're delighted to welcome John Woyton to the Supervisory Board. His extensive experience investing in and supporting technology businesses through periods of transformation will bring valuable perspective to the Board as Delivery Hero enters its next chapter. We also extend our thanks to Scott Ferguson for his valuable contribution over the last two years and wish him all the best."

Woyton's appointment is significant for Delivery Hero as it continues to pioneer quick commerce, aiming to deliver groceries and household goods in under an hour. His deep understanding of technology-driven transformations and M&A will be instrumental in guiding strategic decisions, especially as the company faces increasing competition and technological disruption. The addition of a board member with such a robust investment background signals Delivery Hero's focus on sustainable growth and innovation.

Woyton expressed enthusiasm about the opportunity: "Few companies have built the global scale and reach that Delivery Hero has achieved in little over a decade. It operates in a sector that continues to evolve rapidly, with significant opportunities ahead. I'm looking forward to bringing my experience across technology, investment and M&A to the Supervisory Board, and working together on what comes next." His appointment is effective until the end of the Annual General Meeting 2027.
