CAHEC, a community development organization focused on affordable housing and supportive services in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions, has announced the appointment of Corine Sheridan to its Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2026. Sheridan brings more than 40 years of experience in affordable housing finance and investment, which is expected to strengthen CAHEC's leadership as it continues to expand its impact.
Sheridan retired in late 2024 after a distinguished career dedicated to increasing access to affordable housing nationwide. Most recently, she served as Senior Vice President and Head of Acquisitions at Berkadia from 2021 to 2024, where she led the Tax Credit Syndication team's nationwide origination and acquisition strategy. In this role, she oversaw complex transactions and collaborated with tax credit investors to support the development and preservation of affordable housing communities.
Prior to joining Berkadia, Sheridan spent nearly two decades at Boston Capital as Director of Originations from 2003 to 2021. She was responsible for developing and executing the firm's targeted nationwide origination strategy, helping to direct capital to communities with critical housing needs across the United States. In 2024, she co-founded Sheridan Consulting, a firm providing financial and organizational expertise to nonprofits, housing authorities, and other affordable housing practitioners.
Sheridan's nonprofit leadership includes serving on the boards of the Light House Shelter in Annapolis, Maryland; the Anne Arundel County Affordable Housing Coalition; and the Real Estate Committee of True Ground (formerly the Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing) in Arlington, Virginia. This board service reflects her commitment to addressing housing instability and supporting organizations that serve vulnerable populations.
