Burrow & Associates, LLC, a Georgia-based law firm, has announced the launch of the Burrow & Associates Road to Recovery Scholarship, a $1,000 award aimed at supporting students who have shown a dedication to helping others through difficult times. The scholarship is open to students across the United States, including those enrolled in accredited undergraduate, graduate, or professional programs, community college students, high school seniors, and GED holders. Applicants must maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 and demonstrate a genuine commitment to assisting others during periods of injury, illness, or hardship.
To apply, students must submit an essay of no more than 1,000 words responding to three prompts about their experiences in helping others recover and rebuild. Along with the essay, applicants need to provide a current resume and an unofficial transcript. All materials must be emailed to scholarships@legalatlanta.com by the application deadline of August 31, 2027. The scholarship recipient will be announced on October 1, 2027.
The scholarship is intentionally broad in its eligibility criteria, welcoming students from any field of study, not just those pursuing legal careers. This reflects the firm's belief that acts of kindness and support are vital to recovery, regardless of one's professional path. A qualifying applicant might be someone who cared for a family member after an accident, volunteered with individuals healing from an injury or illness, or helped a neighbor get back on their feet after a challenging year.
Founding attorney Darrell L. Burrow emphasized the personal significance of the scholarship, stating, "After a serious injury, recovery depends on the people who step in to help, and we have seen firsthand how much that support matters for our own clients. This scholarship is our way of recognizing students who have taken real action to help others recover and rebuild, and who plan to keep doing that work long after they graduate."
Burrow & Associates, LLC has been serving Georgia residents since 1996, specializing in personal injury and consumer bankruptcy cases. With offices across the Atlanta area, the firm has recovered millions of dollars in more than 10,000 personal injury settlements, building a reputation on treating clients with dignity and offering compassionate representation. The Road to Recovery Scholarship is part of the firm's ongoing commitment to the communities it serves, aiming to encourage and support the next generation of helpers and healers.
