AppSwarm, Corp. (OTC:SWRM) today announced the release of Finx, a hidden camera detector and privacy-protection app now available on the Apple App Store. The app uses infrared analysis and electromagnetic signals to identify concealed recording devices, along with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi scanners to flag suspicious network connections. Designed for travelers, professionals, and privacy-conscious individuals, Finx runs all scans locally on-device with no data collection or account required.
"Privacy is a fundamental right, and Finx gives people the tools to protect it wherever they go," said Christopher Bailey, CEO at AppSwarm. "Whether checking a hotel room, Airbnb, or office, Finx provides peace of mind with advanced yet easy-to-use detection technology." The app is available as a free download with optional in-app subscriptions for enhanced features at https://apps.apple.com/ml/app/finx-hidden-camera-detector/id6772331325.
The launch of Finx comes amid increasing public awareness of hidden cameras in short-term rentals and public spaces. According to a 2023 survey by IPX1031, nearly 58% of travelers expressed concern about hidden cameras in their accommodations. Finx addresses this by leveraging the iPhone's built-in sensors to detect infrared reflections from camera lenses and electromagnetic emissions from recording devices. Its Bluetooth scanner identifies nearby BLE devices, while the Wi-Fi scanner maps all devices on the local network to flag suspicious connections. The app also includes a device tracker for locating lost Bluetooth items or potential trackers.
AppSwarm's portfolio includes other AI-powered apps such as AskOptima, an intelligent search engine; BARAI AI Cocktail Maker; and AniPet, an animal identification app. The company's focus on mobile technology and privacy solutions positions it to capitalize on growing demand for personal security tools. Finx is available now on the Apple App Store, and AppSwarm plans to expand to Android in the future.
