Angkor Resources Reports Encouraging Initial Drilling at Andong Bor Copper-Gold Target in Cambodia

Angkor Resources Corp. (TSXV: ANK, OTCQB: ANKOF) has completed the initial phase of its diamond drilling program at the Andong Bor copper-gold target in Cambodia, with results indicating the presence of significant mineralization. The company reported that 1,099 meters of a planned 2,800-meter program were drilled in mid-July, focusing on the Thmei North target, a one-square-kilometer copper anomaly. The remaining 1,700 meters are scheduled for early 2027, after the dry season allows access to the fields.

Dennis Ouellette, VP Exploration, commented: “Two of the three holes drilled this year encountered good porphyry and skarn mineralization over the 400 meters each was drilled. Portions of skarn were especially well mineralized. The third hole contained a run of over 200 meters with continuous pyrite mineralization up to 20%.” These initial results validate the geological model and suggest the potential for a sizable mineralized system.

The drill program was strategically phased around Cambodia's monsoon seasons to minimize environmental impact and ensure safety. The initial holes were oriented to the east to better intersect the mineralized beds, which are controlled by north-northwest striking structures that dip steeply to the west, as indicated by 2025 drilling. The subsequent phase will follow the same pattern to maximize interception of mineralized sedimentary rocks.

Core logging, photography, and sampling are underway, with selected intervals to be dispatched for assay. The company expects to release assay results in the coming months, which will guide further exploration on the Thmei North and Thmei South targets. The Andong Bor license covers 100.28 square kilometers across Oddar Meanchey and Banteay Meanchey provinces, and previous work identified copper porphyry and skarn mineralization within potassic-altered sediments adjacent to feldspar porphyry diorite dikes.

The importance of this announcement lies in the confirmation of broad mineralized intervals in the initial drill holes, which could indicate a significant copper-gold system. This is a critical step for Angkor Resources as it advances its exploration efforts in Cambodia, a country with emerging mineral potential. The company's diversified portfolio includes both mineral exploration and oil and gas assets, providing multiple avenues for growth.

Dennis Ouellette, B.Sc., P.Geo., a Qualified Person under NI 43-101, has reviewed and approved the technical content of this release. The company is committed to responsible exploration practices and community engagement as it continues to evaluate the potential of the Andong Bor license.
