Author Ali Zokaee is solidifying his presence in the Canadian literary scene with a robust schedule of 39 confirmed book signings at Indigo locations across the Greater Toronto Area from April through October 2026. The tour, which began April 4 at Indigo Eaton Centre, has already demonstrated significant reader engagement, with stores reporting an average sell-through rate of over 85 percent across the first 16 events, including seven appearances that achieved 100 percent sell-through.
One of the standout moments occurred on July 25 at Indigo Yonge & Eglinton in Toronto, where all copies of his book Useful Quotes: True, Practical But Not Pleasing sold out in under four and a half hours. This success has fueled Zokaee's commitment to returning to Indigo stores throughout the year, including venues where he introduces his second book, The History Of Music And Cinema: Evaluation Part 1, as well as events featuring both titles.
The tour is more than a series of signings for Zokaee; each appearance allows him to connect personally with readers, introduce his work to new communities, and steadily grow his audience. With additional events expected before year-end, Zokaee anticipates completing approximately 40 bookstore appearances in 2026, with plans to continue into 2027.
