Airshow China officially kicked off the 100-day countdown to its 30th anniversary edition on August 28 in Zhuhai, Guangdong. The 16th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China 2026) is scheduled for December 7-13, and the countdown event unveiled a commemorative logo featuring a gold-toned "30" with tech-inspired elements and gradient ribbons.
Since its founding in 1996, Airshow China has evolved from a modest 8,000 square meters to 450,000 square meters, with participating countries and regions growing from 25 to 47. This expansion underscores its status as one of the world's most influential aerospace exhibitions, a point emphasized by Li Xiaodong, Deputy Secretary-General of the Zhuhai Executive Committee, who said the event has become increasingly international, professional, and market-oriented.
The countdown event also featured a World Airshow Dialogue session where industry leaders discussed global supply chains, green aviation, low-altitude economy, and aftermarket services. Representatives from MAKS and Boeing sent video remarks, expressing anticipation for returning with cutting-edge products to foster deeper industrial exchanges.
In a round-table dialogue, Dai Haibin, spokesperson for AVIC General Aircraft Company, highlighted Airshow China's role in debuting key aircraft like the AG600 "Kunlong" amphibious aircraft. Xu Shixin, COO of Embraer China, noted the Chinese market's huge potential and expressed readiness for collaboration on eVTOL development and low-altitude transportation ecosystems.
Additionally, Zhuhai Airshow International Culture Communication Co., Ltd. signed IP merchandise agreements with partners including Beijing Institute of Technology, Alipay, and Truly HONEST Investment. These partnerships will develop products blending traditional culture with aerospace technology, AI-powered digital commemorative tickets using NFC, and sci-fi derivative products.
The 30th anniversary marks a milestone for Airshow China, which continues to benchmark against world-class exhibitions and contribute to aviation industry clusters. As the countdown progresses, anticipation builds for an event that promises to showcase the latest innovations and foster global collaboration in aerospace.
