AcroMeta to Enter Ambient Temperature Cellular Logistics via Strategic Partnership with Macro HRD

AcroMeta Group Limited (SGX: 43F) has announced a strategic partnership with Macro HRD SG Pte. Ltd. to enter the ambient temperature cellular logistics (ATCLS) market. The non-binding term sheet outlines AcroMeta's intention to acquire a strategic stake in Macro-ATCLS Pte. Ltd., the commercial vehicle for Macro's ATCLS technology, and grants AcroMeta an option to secure an exclusive licence to deploy this technology across Southeast Asia.

The ATCLS technology, developed by Macro HRD, aims to revolutionize the transport of living cells and temperature-sensitive biological materials by eliminating the need for conventional cold chains. It utilizes proprietary ambient-temperature preservation and reactivation methods, supported by the Gradient Equilibrium Decision Modeling (GEDM) platform for real-time governance. This innovation allows dormant cells to be shipped at ambient temperatures and reactivated at the point of care, potentially reducing costs and expanding geographic reach.

The market opportunity is substantial, with applications in stem cells, CAR-T therapy, gene therapy, and organ transplantation. According to data provided by Macro's management, the global cell-and-gene-therapy 3PL market is projected to grow from US$1.81 billion in 2025 to US$16.95 billion by 2035, a compound annual growth rate of 25.1%. ATCLS estimates a serviceable addressable market of approximately US$14.5 billion by 2032.

Mr Lawrence Toh, Executive Director of AcroMeta, commented, "This proposed strategic partnership gives us the opportunity to build a position in an industry where cell and gene therapy logistics are expected to grow at double-digit rates in the years ahead. We see this as a natural extension of our strategy to grow our portfolio beyond our core operations."

The exclusive licensing arrangement for Southeast Asia would allow AcroMeta to develop and commercialise the ATCLS business in the region, with the right to appoint sub-licensees and a first right to acquire additional territories. This structure is intended to significantly expand the Group's commercial reach.

AcroMeta, listed on the Catalist board of the Singapore Exchange since 2016, operates in facility management services. The Group will continue to evaluate strategic opportunities to support long-term growth, maintaining a focus on disciplined capital allocation.

Macro HRD, established in 2024, is a Singapore-based biotechnology company specializing in precision medicine for infectious diseases, integrating advanced biology and AI/ML platforms. The partnership with AcroMeta represents a strategic move into the logistics segment of the cell and gene therapy industry.
