Accelleron Appoints Ravin Pillay-Ramsamy as President of Service Division

Accelleron, a global technology leader in turbocharging and digital solutions for heavy-duty applications, announced today that Ravin Pillay-Ramsamy will become President of the Service Division and a member of the Executive Committee, effective October 1, 2026. Based in Baden, Switzerland, Pillay-Ramsamy will succeed Roland Schwarz, who has been appointed CEO of OMT, an Accelleron company specializing in fuel injection. Klaus Heim, the current CEO of OMT, will retire at the end of September 2026.

The appointment comes at a critical time as Accelleron strengthens its service business, which is central to its strategy of supporting customers through the energy transition. Daniel Bischofberger, CEO of Accelleron, expressed enthusiasm: “We are very pleased to welcome Ravin to Accelleron. He brings extensive international leadership experience in industrial services, engineering, business development and M&A, combined with deep expertise in power generation, oil and gas, and industrial infrastructure. His proven track record in leading global service organizations will be highly valuable as we continue to strengthen our service business and create value for our customers worldwide.”

Pillay-Ramsamy joins from Sulzer, where he currently serves as Division President Services and is a member of the Executive Committee. His career includes senior leadership roles within Sulzer’s Services division across EMEA and Asia Pacific, and earlier positions at Turbine Services Ltd. in the United States, where he held roles as Business Development Director and Vice President Engineering. His educational background includes a Global MBA from Columbia Business School and London Business School, a Master’s degree in Management and Finance from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from The Ohio State University.

The leadership transition is part of Accelleron’s broader effort to enhance its service offerings, which are mission-critical for the reliability and efficiency of marine and energy applications. With over 3,200 employees serving customers in more than 100 locations across 50 countries, Accelleron is well-positioned to leverage Pillay-Ramsamy’s expertise. His experience in industrial services and M&A is expected to drive growth and innovation in the service division.

Roland Schwarz’s move to OMT underscores Accelleron’s commitment to its fuel injection business, which is vital for optimizing engine performance and reducing emissions. Klaus Heim’s retirement marks the end of a distinguished career, and his contributions have been instrumental in OMT’s development.

This announcement follows Accelleron’s recent strategic initiatives to accelerate sustainability in the marine and energy industries. The company’s focus on digital solutions and turbocharging aligns with global efforts to reduce carbon emissions. The appointment of a leader with deep industrial services background is likely to bolster Accelleron’s ability to deliver value to customers worldwide.
