The 36th Hong Kong Book Fair, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), will take place from July 15 to 21 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, alongside the Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo and the World of Snacks. The three events are expected to host over 770 exhibitors from nearly 30 countries and regions, offering a comprehensive summer experience in culture, sports, and leisure.

This year's Book Fair adopts the theme 'Cultural Legacy | Joyful Journeys,' focusing on cultural heritage and travel. Jenny Koo, HKTDC Deputy Executive Director, stated, 'We hope to inspire readers to explore the heritage and innovation of traditional culture in modern society through reading.' More than 600 cultural events will be held both at the fairground and across the city.

A highlight is the 'World of Art & Culture' zone, featuring the 'World in Words, A Voyage of the Heart' exhibition, which uses 'Local Eye' and 'Global Eye' perspectives to connect Hong Kong stories with world literature. The exhibition includes interactive set-ups recommending books and itineraries based on visitor preferences, showcasing over 200 books and items from around the world.

The Book Fair will host eight seminar series, including the Renowned Writers Seminar Series with authors like Liu Zhenyun, Su Tong, and Bi Feiyu. The English and International Books Seminar Series features British poet Luke Kennard and McKinsey's Joe Ngai. For the first time, the ASEAN Literary Festival will be introduced, with authors Eka Kurniawan and Clarissa Goenawan.

Other notable speakers include aerospace experts Professor Wu Bo, Professor Gao Yang, and Professor Su Huifeng, discussing national space missions. The 'International Publishing Forum' and 'IP Roundtable' will analyze publishing trends and market opportunities.

The Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo will offer sports experiences like the 'Fit & Fearless Challenge' by the Hong Kong Playground Association and pickleball apparel from Cyber Smart Limited. The World of Snacks will feature over 1,300 snacks from nearly 30 countries, including healthy options from Do Did Dust and freeze-dried candies from Night Fever Limited.

Admission to all three fairs costs HK$30 for adults, with special discounts available. For more information, visit the Hong Kong Book Fair website, the Hong Kong Sports and Leisure Expo website, and the World of Snacks website.
